You underestimate the importance of a defense getting a 3 and out
and not letting an offense kick their cans all over the field only to decide to get aggressive once they get inside the 20.
If your offense is struggling the best thing your defense can do is get them the ball back in decent field position. Something this defense has rarely done so far this entire season.
Great defense isn't about managing points, it is about stopping teams and flipping the field.
