I've had the same experience. I think the comparison is skewed. I think it's
best to compare your usage year over year rather than with the surrounding homes. You also have to take into consideration that a lot of the homes in our neighborhood are empty nesters, widows and several have gone solar. Their usage can skew the comparisons as well. A couple years ago I replaced all my bulbs with with LED bulbs and I immediately saw about a 40% drop in my power usage I also replaced a couple of our old TVs with LEDs. My suggestion is to throw the report in the trash it's bad analysis if you ask me.
