it'd be if we were in MWC, on CBSSN at 8:30pm instead of ESPN2.

remember the goal...it's NOT get into an NY6 game. the goal is: #1 get into a P5, #2 make CFP, #3 provide access/$/support of team to our fans (grow fan base)

you can ONLY do all those things as indy. right now we're are failing on the first 2, but if we go back to G5 we will NEVER make the CFP, we will lose out on #3, and IMHO, during the next round of realignment, we will also lose out.

the BEST way for BYU to try and get in is prove that they are better than the G5...this is done by playing and beating them, separating yourself from them in every respect (worked for 4 out of 5 P5 conferences who consider us a P5 opponent) and playing and beating other P5 teams. while we seem to be struggling with that right now, going back to MWC doesn't help.

no one cares about the MWC CG and it would NOT save us from the start we've had so far. G5 is a death sentence and will soon become what FCS is now. i give it +/- 10 years. program suicide to rejoin them.
