That doesn't happen--in any of the big four sports--where I live
Maybe you get a glance from the BBall coach if you are 7 feet tall, maybe you get a look from the football coach if you are 275 and fast, but if you are a normal sized kid you better hope the coach knows your name and has seen you play several times before you show up at tryouts.
