Utah State was an outlier for me. It's USU's game of the year , on the road, and we were fine until our backup went out. I'm not sure anyone on the staff was prepared for Koy Detmer to ever get meaningful snaps and the team just choked with so many turnovers.

I can explain away USU and the other losses are as kinda justified for a mediocre team to lose.

Now we hit a stretch where everyone we play is awful and none of them care very much about playing BYU specifically.

If we lose any of these I can't justify it. We just plain suck to an almost unheard of level at BYU.

For now I choose to believe that we have a little below average squad that overscheduled and wet the bed against USU. A team like that should win out with a bowl on the line.

I will believe this until BYU proves me wrong
