Is it time for him to step aside? He's been AD for 13 years, since 2004. That's longer than Rondo Fehlberg and Val Hale and almost as long as Glen Tuckett who was AD from 1976 to 1994.
I know we all like Tom because he was a great player for us, he won a couple of Super Bowls for the 49ers and he has really cool Halloween costumes. However I feel like sports, at least football and basketball are sinking into the abyss and he bears some responsibility for that. New blood in the AD office might be just what we need.
