People need a reality check about calling out the Defense
UMass came into yesterdays game averaging 435 yards in total offense
They were held to 299 yards
They came into yesterday's game averaging 31ppg
They were held to 16 points
UMass came into yesterday's game giving up 389 yards per game
They held BYU to 299
UMass came into yesterday's game giving up 30ppg
They held BYU to 10.
Keep in mind 7 points of BYU's and 80 yards came against a prevent defense at the end of the game. Also, keep in mind the offense turned it over 4 times. Several times setting up UMass with short fields.
Now you may love Ty. You may wish Kalani would call out the Defense equally. But if he did he would be lying and a fool. The defense did its job yesterday. The offense peed all over itself. That's the truth and Kalani doesn't need to call out the Defense just to make all of you feel better.
