They only gave up one TD and only 16 points. Our miserable offense should have scored more points than that and won the game.

Obviously, the D isn't perfect. The TD was blown coverage by the secondary. We had six defenders more or less on one receiver or defending no one and only one defender inadequately covering the only other receiver who was wide open and caught the pass for an easy TD. That one play cost us the game.

The D made plenty of great plays and pretty much shut down a potent UMass offense. A little help from the offense would have made their job easier.

The D has struggled all year and the weaknesses haven't been corrected. We have had a nearly non-existent pass rush all year and the secondary needs to be better. Injuries and lost starters have hurt.
