but probably would have had a closer margin of victory. Absolutely could have won against Utah and Utah State (and probably Boise State) with a better performance on offense. No question we would win against East Carolina, Fresno State, and UMass with better offense.

The defense hasn't been terrific, and still plenty of work to do to get better, but most of the losses this season are due to the offense being historically bad all year long.
