Ron Mcbride didn't set out to hurt BYU; he set out to have a successful program. His success against BYU may have had the butterfly effect of hurting BYU in the long run, but he didn't set out to damage BYU. He simply understood how important it was to beat your rival (a concept for which Bronco Mendenhall is routinely bashed on CB). McBride is a good dude. I know him well. He has nothing but respect for BYU and Mormons in general.
