I don't post much, but find myself needing to do this for therapy or something. It's been a rough season and many (including myself) are talking non-stop about the coaches on the team and what needs to change in order to be better. Well...I give you the Green Bay Packers. With Rodgers at QB the first 5 games, they jump out to a 4-1 start, Rodgers throws for 300+ yards multiple times and has a pass efficiency rating right at 70%. Rodgers goes down and they lose their consistancy at the QB position and they go 1-4 the next 5 games, don't throw for more than 250 yards in any of those games, and their pass efficiency drops by 10%. Same coaches, same game planning, etc. They've also had injuries at RB, just like BYU. If there is blame to throw at the coaches, it's that they didn't have a better backup to Rodgers...but bottom line is...when Green Bay's QB and RB are healthy and playing their game...they win a lot of games.
I would submit that the same is true for BYU. When you combine the QBs and RBs that we've played this year we get the number 10...10...10...I don't care who your coaching staff is. When you play musical chairs for that long at those two positions...you lose, a lot. I think with the right players in place, this staff can be succesful, just like Green Bay is when their work horses are healthy and producing on the field.
