But it’s still a small sample size. I don’t think you can look at just those games and make a definitive comparison between the two teams. If the head to head games were close and the teams had similar results outside of the game, then yes, you could say they are comparable. But they haven’t. Utah has consistently outperformed BYU over the last decade on the whole, not only in the rivalry game. In some years the teams were closer than others, but on the whole it’s really not that close when you take all their results into consideration.
