getting paid for the actual amount of viewers and not the irrelevant number of TV sets in the market.
When you realize that teams like Syracuse, Wake Forest, Northwestern, Kansas, Vanderbilt, etc. draw half (and sometimes a third or fourth) of what other teams draw including BYU in every single game they play every single year, you realize you're leaving that much money on the table by affiliating with them. Sure the record is nice but money talks.
That's the hope for BYU. When this nonsensical arrangement for getting paid based on the number of TV sets instead of actual viewers comes to a close, BYU should have even more power.
