I never discounted attendance money in a vacuum. I was talking about the attrition on its importance going forward when compared against broadcast money.

Satellite, streaming, 4K Ultra HD TVs, wireless options everywhere, all contribute to the growing attrition on the need to be in attendance to enjoy a football game.

My point was that because of this phenomenon, you don't have to live in close proximity to conference schools for the fans to travel because they can express their fandom by watching from wherever they are. (Yes, I know that travel costs for the team would still be an issue)
