IMO 25 years isnt short term.
And left over 20 years ago. Immelt has a lot to be blamed for.
GE finance was a lender type of last resort. The 2008 financial crisis did them in IMO. It killed Lehman brothers and would have killed a whole bunch of financial companies if not for the government bail out.
