It ain't just youth sports. It's HS sports too. And its frustrating as a coach
I've seen my players literally get punished by the other sports' coach because they missed a practice or summer league game for football camp etc. It's pathetic and the coaches that do this need to one hundred percent get their ego checked and get out of coaching.

I disagree. Most great athletes are just gifted. Particularly those who don’t specialize and excel in multiple sports.
