Looks are subjective. The obesity epidemic has skewed what people perceive as
“Healthy” and what looks “good”. Go watch a movie or footage of people even 30 years ago and see how many “fat” people there aren’t.

There is an obvious move for men to look more “swoll” and over muscled for sure and to think that’s healthy.

BMI is not subjective, though not perfect, is an accurate assessment based on historical evidence of what human proportions are most likely to result in better health.
