While not necessarily true I do think yes, almost everyone would take the job with higher pay and more prestige.

That being said there is a right and wrong way to do things, Tommy Tuberville famously took a promotion and left his recruits still eating at a recruiting dinner without saying a word.

Plenty of coaches leave places well. They meet with their prior team. The express gratitude for support and opportunity. They try make things good for what they left behind. I know people are going to ask why we're assuming Pope didn't do any of this...and this answer is simple, it's because he's letting us assume it. There's no report of him meeting with is players. No word of thanks public or private. He said yes before they could finish asking the question and hasn't looked back since.

And lastly Kentucky is a better job than BYU, but we're a B12 team now. UK honestly should be viewed as a peer. Let's stop acting so honored that they poached our coach. Screw Kentucky.
