Of course he isn’t going to focus on Utah and LDS recruits. Complete head in the
sand to not realize as long as he is at UK and especially if he is having success, he will always be the biggest threat to Top Utah and LDS recruits. Whether he really wants or needs them. Or whether he just wants them to backhaul his roster. Wake up.

I'm not sold Pope will value them all that much. He risks a lot of criticism if they don't pan out for him at UK.

Ruechert probably will be a target by Pope, yes. I don't see Pope eyeing Utah recruiting much beyond that, though.
