Malignant prostate survivors: Better results with surgery or radiation?
Just got the news that I am Gleason group III ( 4+3=7), with perineural invasion but no observable extra prostatic extension. 8/16 biopsy cores showed cancer, all on right side. I am 69 and very active. Hope to find the best treatment with fewest side effects. Having more scans to make sure it hasn’t already spread.

Would appreciate hearing your experiences for good or bad with any of the treatment options. Anybody have experience with laser or ultrasonic ablation? Are those worth considering?

I was getting depressed trying to research this, so I Googled “prostate cancer jokes.” Nothing came up.

Thanks.
