My FIL is 67yo and has the exact same Gleason score.
He was told that surgery and radiation have about the same odds as far as curing the cancer, but once you do radiation, that’s it. No more options. If it cures it great; but if not, there’s nothing more to be done.

He chose radiation because it allowed him to keep working vs being down and out for six weeks recovering from surgery. He just finished his last treatment and will go for another scan this summer to see if it’s gone or not.
