my electric mower battery (Ego) lasted 5yrs- not too bad
I just replaced it, cost over $250. it was so much I frankly had to consider just buying a new mower that would come with a new battery.

I tried a Ryobi a couple years ago and it sucked. It was a low/mid range one though. Now my gas one is starting to run

My last gas mower was a Honda. It sucked. Didn't last 4 years. The self propelled part stopped working
