I agree. It needs to go through the school's and there needs to be contacts. Wasn't there a player, maybe last year,
that took a bunch of NIL money then took off to play in Europe? I could be remembering this wrong.
But there are plenty of fans who aren't rich that are being asked to help donate to get these players. It feels kind of like the players giving these fans the middle finger when they jump in the portal. However, why wouldn't they? There's no reason not to at this point.
They need to either limit the amount of transfers they can have or introduce contracts for this to survive. Preferably both. With such a heavy rotation of players year to year, fans will start to feel a lot less loyalty to a team. At least that's my opinion. Without the loyalty apathy will set in.
