Part of recruiting is deciding not only whether a player would do well in your offense, but whether they seem likely to want to play at BYU.

Arod has consistently passed on LDS QBs who would be a better cultural fit and be more likely to want to play here. He instead pursues QBs such as Isaac Wilson or Grady Adamson who have no connection to BYU or even worse, are fans of our rival.

In 2024 he passed on 4 star QB will Hammond who always wanted to play at BYU. Now he’ll be playing against us with Texas Tech.

For 2025, every QB he has offered was non-LDS and is now committed elsewhere. He will now need to offer Nolan Keeney and Luke Haugo, LDS QBs who already have other P5 offers and will probably feel insulted that he only offered when he had run out of other options.
