I commend him for going after the big targets. LaVell had great success with
Getting the non-LDS QB who wanted to come to a place that they could show off their skills. Getting the highly touted LDS recruit is obviously important, but the Ty Detmers, Jim McMahons, and Steve Sarkisians are out there, and if we went after only LDS talent, we’ll end up even more irrelevant in the Big12 football scene as we are now.
