The passive hunting doesn’t work
It’s not going to catch big game. It’s hardly worth the effort for small game.
Fish are a caloric value. Other than big game, nothing else does much.
Additionally, sometimes the traps catch game that are not allowed to be hunted so they end up having to release them.
Edit: the gill net is a must, IMO. The only really worthwhile passive hunting technique
