A couple things...
First they didn't turn him down...why do people keep saying this? It's a bad CB lie. His dad said flat out, the coaching staff told them the direction they were going with the scheme and the Davis family felt it wasn't going to work for them. Why in the world would BYU still honor the athletic scholarship if they panned to push him out?

1)They told Issac they planned to used a specific scheme and he felt it wouldn't be best for him and his skills. ,

2)Coach Young has said from the start they will use an NBA style scheme. I would take the word of a guy recognized throughout the best talent league in the world as an excellent coach, word on it.

If he is going to Davis and saying what he is saying my bet is he knows what he is doing. It's not unusual for talented college guys to fail at the next level. Davis may end up being exactly that. It doesn't mean Young was wrong or that Davis is right.

But if the goal of Coach Young is to evaluate and prepare guys for the next level, not just success at the college level you have to believe he knows what he is doing.

Personally I think it's an honorable thing that BYU is doing for Issac. They clearly want him to succeed and are giving him the opportunity to do what is best for him. They very well could say what he wants to him and then just watch him sit on the sidelines and become frustrated because he isn't being used correctly.
