Sure, take the hefty tax hit, then try to live on 4% withdrawal for 50+ years.
Seems like a meager retirement, with way too much uncertainty over the next 50 years to risk it, or at least with my level of risk comfort.

If you had 2M in your 401K in your mid-30s, why not just let it grow untouched for five or ten more years, then you'd be in a lot more secure position.
