That is not what is being suggested
YOu don't want to take the withdrawel all in one year. That would put you in a high tax bracket. A person could take substantially equal payments of (depending on interest rateses) $140,000-200,000 anually and not have any penalty. A greater amount, or a variable amount from year to year would triggerf a 10% penalty to go along with any income tax owed.
