There’s two possible explanations
1. Your neighbors are wealthy and unimpacted…
Or
2. My theory. They are just living their same lifestyle but can’t afford it so they’re putting it on a credit card. Consumer debt is so high right now. Which is sustainable In the short term but not the long term.
