I saw a National Geographic special about a
Haitian child raises as a girl but at puberty very obviously became a boy so overnight they just changed his appearance and explained the situation. The boy said he always felt like a boy and when the physiological change occurred it seemed to make sense. I think it's different in many situations though. What horrible pressure this would be to parents if they learned at their child's birth of this condition. It would be up to them to assign them a gender and they might forever regret their decision, especially if the child grows up "gay".
