You make some valid points as far as what UNLV, UNM, and Wyoming do for our football resume. I personally wouldn't mind if the MWC dropped the Rebels and the Lobos. Sure, they are good basketball schools, but conference affiliation isn't weight nearly as much in basketball as in football. BYU would still be able to go to the tournament if the conference dropped those schools.
