You are right, UNLV will not be voted out. However, it will have nothing to do with the Vegas Bowl.

I know the Vegas Bowl is what you know, but is has been huge let down to have one of the MWC's top teams play the PAC 10's, #5, and be barely better than 50% against them.

Kind of a back handed reward for winning the conference, or being invited because the conf. winner is at a BCS game. Playing the PAC 10, #5?

Yeah we better be careful not to ruffle those feathers.

I think we can do better than the Vegas Bowl and they are locked into an agreement anyway.(unfortunately)

I actually think that the MWC will be the one to choose to look elsewhere when the agreement is up.
