I think animosity (for lack of a better word) is towards other coaching staffs. When these kids are recruited they are told that the decision to go on a mission would be supported. But it is apparent, by the low percentage of those who actually end up serving, that these coaches are discouraging missions.

Yes, there are individuals on BYU's roster who don't serve missions, but we know it is not due to BYU coaches trying to keep them here.
