You're completely off base. This is hilarious because it's just trying oh so hard. It's screaming "Look, I drink beer, I'm cool!!! I'm not square like those Mormons cuz I'm drinking beer!!!"
Kinda like how it seems like every Ute fan under 45 has to grow a goatee also, just to show that they're not square like those Melvins in Provo. Never mind that it's not 1995 any more.
