I complained about the lame announcement and she told me basically what Cali Coug said: BYU thought they would have an announcement (but they weren't sure exactly what it would be). When something happened they released a short, lame statement.

As a side note, if I were TH and I kept half an eye on CB, I totally would release boring, meaningless statements just to mess with CB nation.
