The question was what has BYU done to challenge the BCS. His answer was that BYU had been 7-4 against the Pac-10 vs. Utah's 4-3. That's good. It's not groundbreaking, but it's a little sad if that's really your best argument against the BCS.
All I had to do was move the time frame back two years and your best argument vs. the BCS is nullified and actually a negative.
IMO, BYU needs a more compelling argument before you knock Utah or claim you're more entitled to the BCS.
For example, since 2003, Utah has a winning record against every BCS conference. 13-0 at home/neutral and 17-5 overall. More wins than any other non-AQ in the country.
That's a compelling statement! Where's BYU's? Sure, you beat the inferior MWC/WAC teams better than Utah, just about better than anyone. But trust me, that doesn't get much respect in the BCS world. In my experience.
