I'd say whatever statistics are more favorable to one's team is more credible. People on this particular board seem notorious for that.
e.g. Since 2010, Utah is undefeated against BYU. Never once in the history of football since 2010 has BYU ever beat Utah. Or Utah has the winning-est record in all of college football in the last 12 hours, tied with only 3-4 other teams. IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY.
