Reporting that someone doesn't want to talk is fine
Being jaded that someone doesn't want to talk and putting pen to paper vindictively is not fine.

I don't care if they spelled out the back story about what happened to Davies and letting it die.

But acting like a disgruntled teenage girl and writing a column, or worse, tweeting attacks about the kid for his decision is unprofessional (ironically) in the highest form and unethical IMO.

He goes to BYU, owned by the LDS church who has what most view to be harsh rules. However, the LDS church is also very protective of information where individuals may have violated those rules. Thus, neither the school nor the individual want to comment on a very private matter.

That's all I need to read.

And no, I'm not boycotting the Tribune.
