Hate to say it, but right now they are the older brother. They've just beaten up their little brother the last 8 years (not including '06,'07, '09 - two BCS wins, 54-10, and the PAC10 invite). Leaving now is easier, and to the fans it's like no problem, "we owned them, destroyed them...I'm good to move on", they're still cool making fun of us, etc..."they're a joke." Hill/Whit say..."we won and we're winning...no need to have the rivalry now, there's no upside."
The State of Utah and college football need this rivalry to continue. It's good for the state, it's good for both schools, and Utah should try to make it work.
Yes, they've been kicking our yewt, but they are where they are because of BYU, so they owe it to us.
By the way, by no means do I think they'd own the next 10 years.
