Both BYU and Utah seem to be benefiting from not playing the Holy War each year. Powers like Michigan are coming to RES -- which is amazing -- and a series with Ohio State looks to be a real possiblity for the Utes. In the meantime, BYU is scheduling series with Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Boise State, etc. Hill is doing a great job with Utah's OOC schedule and the indy scheduling is getting better and better under Holmoe.
Leaving the MWC for greener pastures is working out very well for both schools and both fan bases should recognize this and should be excited. While I love the Holy War, the flexibility gives both schools the opportunity to schedule teams that weren't even possible before.
And Whitt's right, given the teams both the Utes and BYU are scheduling, something did have to give...
