Again? You didn't say I had selective memory you goofball.
You seem to have a memory problem, but your issue isn't selectivity.

Why throw out Auburn? Couple of other weird inclusions in that list as well; sanctions notwithstanding. You are listing schools that didn't have results stripped (some of those did, others didn't). Sans USC, the PAC-12 goes WAAAAY down, because most of the time, the PAC-12 has had 1 or 2 nationally competitive schools. Stanford was garbage for half of the time-frame.

RE: Basketball.

"You fail to forget..." Wait, doesn't that mean I remember? Yeah, it does. Swing and a miss.

But to the more germaine points...I'm not forgetting anything here. I grew up a PAC-12 fan, in PAC-12 country. I'm not new to this. You want to have a debate about PAC-12 history...lol. Without a website at your fingertips, you have no chance. Even at that, you don't know what you are looking for. As a young boy, I attended half of Washington's regular season games in 1991. It will take you a decade before you've been to as many PAC-12 games as I have.

Yes, UCLA has had some high points. But you are forgetting, NO power conference except that PAC-12 has failed to get their regular season conference champion into the NCAA tournament. UCLA's highs are countered by the PAC-12's atrocious lows.

Since John Wooden retired, the PAC-12 has just 2 Basketball National Championships; UCLA in 1995, and Arizona in 1997. None in the last 15 years. Want to compare that with the Big East, the ACC, the Big 10, the Big 12, or even the SEC (let's see, a couple for Florida...and that Kentucky school is in the SEC as well).

Come on buddy. It is good for Utah to be in the PAC-12. No doubt. But the PAC-12 simply isn't regarded as well as most of the "Major" conferences, outside of women's water polo and men's soccer. In the major sports, the PAC-12 is at the lower end of the bell curve for major conferences in the major sports.

The most telling stat. of all: Only 1 PAC-12 team has won a consensus National Championship in football in the poll-era (1936 to present). USC. Yes, they've won a number of them. UW, UCLA, and now CU have split titles. You know what that means? BYU has one more consensus National Championship than the other 11 PAC-12 schools. Chew on that for awhile.
