heading up the defense, the coaching on that side of the ball seems pretty good, as well. We've had good line play on defense, and great linebacker play. We've had some great safeties come through BYU during Bronco's tenure, as well. Corners are sometimes a weak spot, but it's very hard to know how much of that falls on the position coach. My sense of it is that Howell is OK as a position coach, but was overwhelmed as defensive coordinator.
