Players sometimes forget that it is because "fans" spend money and donate
that they are able to play the game they love.
Fans and donors provide some of the scholarships, equipment, stadium, up-keep, coach's salaries, etc.
It is a mutual, dare I say symbiotic, relationship. One cannot exist without the other.
Kalani understands this, and I appreciate his comments. His answer is spot on and exactly how we should all react in similar circumstances. "If people are booing, well we need to give them something to cheer about".
If I overhear my co-workers complain that I am a jerk, well maybe I should give them something to like me over.
It starts with figuring yourself/organization out. Change comes from within.
