this was the epitome of Scott and his desire to make the PAC12 a big deal. The problem is their flagship is always on premium because they overestimated what people were willing to pay for their channel. They screwed up badly. They should have gone with a progressive approach where they give a taste to customers and than work their brand up the ladder. Unlike many sectors where it is difficult to climb up in pricing once your brand has been identified as a certain money level, entertainment can thrive this way. Customers get used to having something entertaining and than begin to pay a bit more in order to keep it. Regardless this was a mess from the beginning and I couldn't believe the numbers Scott was spewing about how big the network was going to be.
