The addiction associated with steroids isn't an addiction to excersizing. Steroids have been known to cause severe addiction, look it up. What I said is the truth. Trading one harmful (yes, steroids are indeed harmful) addiction for another is NOT solving any problems.
You claim that steroids are much better than using heroin, and that simply isn't true. I would choose steroids over heroin, but both are very damaging.
AddictionCenterAnabolic steroids are synthetic drugs that mimic testosterone. "Anabolic” refers to the drug’s muscle-building effects, and “androgenic” refers to its masculinizing effects. Even though steroids don’t produce euphoria like a typical addictive substance, those who regularly abuse these drugs are at risk for addiction.

Steroids cause many health problems. Steroids also cause mental health issues and can lead to irritability, depression, and suicide among other things.
I work with people that are addicted to drugs every day. Like I said, I don't know what else he is doing to treat his illness, but steroids are (at best) a bandaid that will only last so long. If this is the way he is dealing with his addiction, he is not going to stay clean.
