she planned to fight it based on the law defining divided roadways not needing to stop on the other side. the official (not a judge, not really sure who he was) found in her favor but based it more on the fact that the bus was stopped and its lights flashing, but no kids actually got on or off on that stop, so the bus driver had no reason to even be flashing the lights.
it was a $300 ticket, so it was worth the effort to fight it and luckily she was successful.
