I’ve never shot at distances that far.
I wouldn’t take the bet on the spot, but if I had some time to train for it, maybe. I’d have to see how well I would do but I definitely wouldn’t trust myself if that scenario just landed in my lap and I had no time to prepare.
I’ve spent quite a bit of money on professional training, but most of it was at ranges under 100 yards with carbines.
I’ve had opportunities to train at ranges closer to 800 and 1000 yards, but it doesn’t appeal to me, so I never have.
I shoot in matches at 200, 300, 400 with iron sights, mostly just for fun, but there’s a huge difference between even 200 and 400 yards...
