We've made great strides in many areas under Kalani. One area where we can improve is the desire to compete and get better.
If I'm a coach during that last drive, I ask my players who wants to compete and who wants to go make a play. If I don't see the fire from my first stringers, I insert a backup player who is trying to prove something or move up the depth chart. I want players on the field giving their all.
This mindset may not make the difference in this game, but in future games where we are down 2 scores with enough time to come back, it could make the difference. You win those future games by your actions today.
