I really don't think they are the power hungry type, especially as most of them could make a lot more money doing jobs outside of the CDC. I personally think the clowns in Washington DC (especially coroporate lobbyists) are always looking to grab more power, but I really have a hard time believing the people running the CDC really are trying to gain permanent control.

For example Robert Redfield was making close to 1 million a year before going to the CDC. Now as the director he makes about 200K. Maybe I am biased as I have met some of these people, but this doesn't make sense to me.



Out of curiousity, who at the CDC is trying to grab control? Do you think it is the biochemists in the labs? the surgeon general? Do you think it is the Director or the other top brass who took massive pay cuts to be there?
